Condition: Very good. Slight creases. Left and lower margin are lightly soiled. Small missing section on the lower edge.
‘Horikawa Yo-uchi’. In 1118, the troop led by Tosabo Masatoshi attacked the villa at Horikawa in Kyoto where Yoshitsune, Benkei, Shizuka and other consorts were staying. Tosabo was sent by Minamoto Yoritomo to kill Yoshitsune but his troop was overpowered by Yoshitsune’s group. Here, Shizuka Gozen, Yoshitsune’s lovr, is wearing the samurai armour and ready to fight.
