Katsushika HOKUSAI (1760 - 1849)

The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife (Girl Diver with Octopuses) Takoto ama

Originally from a three volume book of erotica Kinoe no Kometsu published in 1814

In the text, Hokusai alludes to the legend of Princess Tamatori who dived to the palace of Ryujin, the dragon god of the sea, to rescue the pearl stolen from her husband;s family by Ryujin.
